Playbook's screen size is quite equal to the Galaxy Tab, which is 7 inches (1024×600), which means it is smaller than the iPad (10 inches) while its own dimensions are 130 x 194 x 10 mm with a weight of 400 g.
Contrary to rumors that say the tablet will use the BlackBerry 6 Operating System (OS), it turns out that this tablet uses the BlackBerry Tablet OS developed by QNX Technology which is one of the new software company acquired by RIM last April.
Not much we can know about this OS but a lot of progress compared to the BlackBerry 6, starting from better multitasking, able to run Adobe Flash and AIR, JAVA, HTML 5 and many more.

Interestingly enough, this Playbook uses 2 cameras (front and back) which the back camera has a 5 megapixel high resolution and the front has a 3 MP resolution.
The existence of the two high resolution cameras promises that the BlackBerry tablets can also be used for video chat with better video display.
Playbook could also be used as an eBook Reader, because there will be applications from Kindle (Amazon) that will provide many digital books to be read, though users have to pay for the service.
Because of in the same company, of course Playbook promises the compatibility with your BlackBerry (BB) phone. Via a Bluetooth connection, everything on your BB phone can be transferred to the tablet, starting from emails, calendar, BBM and others. The Playbook will also provide MicroUSB, Micro HDMI & Wi-Fi 802.11.
